I think the material used for the pattern panel is different to the material used for the main pullover. With each laundry cycle, the knitted in panel tightened, causing the pullover to shrink across the shoulders, until finally (3rd laundering cycle) I had to throw the pullover out because it was no longer wearable. It no longer fitted across the shoulders, and the main part of the pullover (white part) was hanging down like an empty potato sack. It is a real shame, because I really liked the pullover while it lasted.
