It is a bulky and expensive backofen with a fan. So simply the only difference between this and a backofen is that the heat is more concentrated in this air fryer, so the food cooks faster. But it is very heavy, bulky and expensive. The door doesn't open completely so it is difficult to turn the food or clean the device. The food is not cooked from both sides so you have to return it. Normal potatos are never fried like with oil in the pan. The options are just for show-off as only the temperature and time changes. So, spend less money and buy a simple backofen with a fan, it would perfectly do the same job.
