Our recruiting team introduces itself
Svenja recruits new colleagues for IT Security and OTTO Market as well as working students in Otto Group Holding and IT. Read more about Svenja and what tips she can give you here.
First of all, tell us something about yourself.
I'm Svenja, a native of Hamburg, and I found my place in recruitment at OTTO after completing my training. Here, I am responsible for recruiting working students in the area of IT and for the working students of the Otto Group Holding. This combination means that I have a lot to do with tech-heavy profiles as well as creative minds. In my free time, I have started studying in the evening and love going to the movies!
What makes OTTO special for you?
For me, the family atmosphere in such a large company is very special. Even though there are a lot of employees, each individual counts and is supported with the models that are right for them.
Dos and Don'ts: What do you recommend applicants do during the interview? What do you pay particular attention to?
One of the most important things? Be yourself and don't pretend! This is the only way we can really get to know you and find out together which position suits you best. Be open, honest and show us your passion for the topics.
Questions and preparation are always good - but only in moderation. Asking questions for the sake of asking questions shouldn't be your goal, and your preparation shouldn't lead you to pretend.

Enthusiasm, authenticity and motivation - that's all it takes.
