Our recruiting team introduces itself
Raffaela is head of recruitment at OTTO and leads a team of several HR managers. She herself is very enthusiastic about OTTO as an employer and is happy to pass on her impressions to applicants. Learn more about Raffaela here.
First of all, please tell us something about yourself.
I have spent the years of my life in various places. I grew up in a small village in the Sauerland. I did my Bachelor's degree in Economics & Law in Münster, probably the greatest student city, with a six-month detour to Madrid. For my Master's degree in Business Administration, I finally ended up in Hamburg in the north. I've been a real OTTO fan since 2015. During my time in HR here, I experienced OTTO as a really great employer, which makes it so exciting to recruit new talent and colleagues.
What makes OTTO special for you?
OTTO is like a big family - I think we live together here! From an HR perspective, I find it super exciting that OTTO offers and does so many different things for its employees.
Dos and Don'ts: What do you recommend to applicants for the interview? What do you pay particular attention to?
Good preparation is very important, but stay true to yourself and show us what YOU are like. Not only OTTO wants to be happy with you, but also you with OTTO. The best way for us to find out if it's a good fit is for you to present yourself authentically.
Insider tip: How can we convince you in an interview?
Show us that you really want the job! Motivation can be contagious and likeable!
