In the interview you can get to know Ann-Kathrin better. She is an HR manager in recruitment and manages the selection of new colleagues for our marketing departments.
I joined OTTO after graduating from high school and trained as a wholesale and export merchant. My great interest in people runs through my entire life, which is why I chose HR as my professional home. After my apprenticeship, I completed a part-time training program to become a human resources specialist and have been working as an HR consultant for many years. I started out in OTTO's cultural development department, then moved to change management for the Otto Group's personnel, and subsequently worked for several years in OTTO's personnel development department, focusing on organizational development. After my second parental leave, I moved to OTTO Recruitment as a recruiter. Here I am responsible for the departments Brand & Advertising, Customer & Campaigns as well as Content Management.
A central topic of my work is diagnostics in the context of employee and executive selection.
What makes OTTO special for you?
For me, OTTO means having an environment in which I can act on my own responsibility, constantly develop myself, have a voice and help shape things. For me, OTTO also means being able to combine family and career, all in an attractive part-time model.
I think it's important to be well-prepared, so you can show that you've taken a good look at the position and its opportunities and challenges. It is also very helpful to reflect on yourself in advance: what do you stand for? What drives you? What rough edges do you bring to the table? Authenticity and honesty form the basis of our conversation.
Personally, I am convinced by honest and authentic people who show us their enthusiasm and motivation for the job and for us as an employer.
