Diana is a working student in University Recruiting and is responsible for selecting new interns and working students. In this interview, you can find out more about her career, how she came to OTTO and what she attaches particular importance to in a job interview.
I'm from Flensburg, where I also completed my dual degree in business administration and trained as an industrial clerk at the same time. I then started in digital marketing, but quickly realized that I would much rather work directly with people. So I looked around for an internship in HR and ended up at OTTO. During the internship, something clicked and I decided to start a Master's degree in Business Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences in Heide.
Clearly the flexibility! At OTTO, flexible working is not only a top priority, it's actually practiced. I can decide for myself when I work from home and how I organize my time. And for all those who, like me, are new to Hamburg - networking is a top priority here. OTTO encourages people to interact with each other, so that everyone quickly gets to know new people.
Just be yourself and don't pretend! Authenticity is important to me because we want to get to know you as you really are. An absolute no-go is if I notice that you haven't prepared yourself and don't know why you want the job in the first place.
Convince me by making it clear why you want exactly this job and why you are the right person for it. It is important for me that you are clear about what you want and, above all, what is important to you!
