Two summits, two cities, countless takeaways: We recently had the incredible opportunity to attend two of the year’s most important cloud events: the AWS Summit in Hamburg and the Google Cloud Summit in Düsseldorf. These were intense days packed with new perspectives, deep technical discussions, and exciting glimpses into the future of cloud technologies.
Curious about what we learned and experienced? Then you’ve come to the right place!
Both summits gave us the chance to dive into the latest developments in cloud technology, and they shared several commonalities. The keynotes offered a broad overview of current topics, trends, and advancements and were enriched by real-world examples from third-party companies.

The conversations at the marketplace booths, however, allowed us to explore technical details in greater depth. There, we not only discussed our current challenges but also gained fascinating insights into how technologies and products might evolve in the future. The direct exchange with experts provided us with valuable inspiration and a clearer sense of upcoming trends.
The AWS Summit in Hamburg and the Google Cloud Summit in Düsseldorf each brought their unique flavors to the table. While both events served as platforms to showcase cutting-edge developments in cloud technology, they differed significantly in terms of their focus and format.
In conclusion, we can wholeheartedly recommend attending such summits. While not every talk provides an in-depth technical deep dive, these events are invaluable for identifying trends, finding inspiration, and—most importantly—connecting directly with other developers and experts to gain significant insights. The direct feedback and fresh ideas are powerful drivers for innovation and progress. The inspiring atmosphere also encourages attendees to take action, explore untapped potential, and kick-start new projects with confidence.
