About me
My name is Nico and I've been working at OTTO since 2018. I began my career here with dual studies at NORDAKADEMIE, which I completed in 2022, and have been a developer ever since. Today I work as a full-stack software developer, building scalable, high-performance services that handle high traffic. My tech stack spans Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, and AWS provisioned via Terraform. I am particularly fascinated by designing distributed systems that are efficient, scalable, and reliable, and by picking the right technology for each challenge. On the side, I also teach as a lecturer in IT security. While I worked primarily with Kotlin for years, Rust has become my favorite tool over the last few years for turning business requirements into robust, maintainable software.
